Permanent Make Up

Permanent make up, also known as semi-permanent make up or cosmetic tattooing, gives you the chance to wake up looking amazing. It’s medically approved, hypoallergenic and completely safe, when done by a trained professional – plus it’s simple and the results look astounding.

£100 non refundable booking fee is taken to secure your appointment, this comes off the price of the treatment.

Semi-permanent make up at Laura Kay London is the ideal choice for individuals who:

  • Want to save time due to busy daily schedules.
  • Have vision problems that cause difficulty when applying make up.
  • Suffer with arthritis and dexterity problems that make it difficult to apply make up.
  • Have complete or partial loss of eyebrows caused by alopecia, hypothyroidism, chemotherapy treatments or other conditions.
  • Have little confidence in applying make up.
  • Like to look their best at all times.
  • Have sparse or over plucked eyebrows.
  • Have lost their natural lip line due to the ageing process.
  • Are sporty types who want to look their best even in the gym or pool.
  • Are sensitive or allergic to conventional make up.

Eyebrows from £420

Whether you’ve plucked away too much hair, find your brows are uneven or you’ve suffered hair loss due to alopecia, the ageing process or illness, the Laura Kay London team can help you regain your confidence through beautiful, natural-looking brows. We offer three cutting-edge techniques to choose from depending on the look you want to achieve.

Eyebrows are the frames of your face– you’d be amazed how well-groomed eyebrows can act as an instant face-lift and give you a more youthful appearance. Many people fill in sparse or uneven brows with a brow pencil, but permanent make up allows you to save time, without the worry that your hard work will disappear when you swim, get sporty, or shower!

What does the treatment involve?
After first using eyebrow pencils to establish the shape you require, you are then colour matched with a bespoke shade for the most natural, realistic looking brows.

How long does it take?
Depending on the finish you choose your treatment can take between 1-2 hours.

How long do the results last?
Results last approximately two years, however most treatments will require a follow up treatment approximately six months or a year after the first.

Microblading/ Nanoblading
The latest revolutionary beauty trend to hit the UK, this wildly popular treatment has stormed Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA. Unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing, pigment is carefully applied in the top layer of the skin using a precision hand tool. This enables careful ‘feathering’ of the pigment, ensuring a much more natural finish.

We are well known for our very natural Nanoblading technique!

Microblading technique

Nanoblading technique

Hair Stroke (machine) technique

Powder technique

Fine Hair Strokes Technique
Also known as the hair simulation technique, this treatment can be done using the traditional permanent make up machine or micro-blading with a hand tool. The machine can sometimes merge strokes, giving a natural fluffy appearance. While Laura Kay London’s Nano Needle hand tool mimics the appearance of natural brow hairs, leaving them sharp and precise.

Powder Ombre Eyebrows
If you like a fuller, more defined brow then the powder technique is perfect for you. Mimicking the appearance of your usual brow make up, whether that’s powder or pencil.

At Laura Kay London we use our signature soft shading technique to achieve defined and groomed eyebrows.

Eye Liner from £320

Well-applied eyeliner will make your lashes look thicker, and your eyes more defined. Fact! It also enhances the natural colour of your eyes. But not everyone has the time or the skill to apply eyeliner perfectly every day. With Laura Kay London permanent eyeliner you have that beautiful definition all the time.

By delicately applying a fine line through the top, bottom or both sets of lashes, Laura creates a perfect look that won’t smudge or wear off. Thanks to its versatility, this treatment can be used to create a natural or more intense look.

If you’re a contact lens wearer, or have sensitive eyes, semi-permanent eyeliner allows you to have the perfect look without worrying about irritants or soreness.

What does the treatment involve?
With infinite skill and precision, a fine line of permanent eyeliner is placed in between the lashes using a very tiny precision needle, which deposits pigment into the top layer of the dermis. There are three different options you can choose from: lower lash and/or upper lash, or the ‘latino’ which creates a sexy feline flick. Scroll through our before and afters to discover your desired treatment.

Eye Liner technique

How long does it take?
Depending on the desired finish you choose your eye liner can take between 1-2 hours.

How long do the results last?
Results last approximately two-five years, treatments will require a follow up treatment approximately 4-8 weeks after the first, and may require another top up every year, depending on your skin type.

I had my semi-permanent make up done by Laura and from start to finish I was made to feel comfortable and at ease! Laura doesn’t just care about the here and now, but also about the aftercare and ensuring that you’re happy, comfortable and healing well in order to achieve the best results!

I couldn’t be happier with the way that it has turned out! It looks subtle and natural, but makes a real difference to my face. As a personal trainer it’s essential that I look presentable at all times and with working and training in a gym, that hasn’t been easy up until now! I now feel confident even after a heavy workout!!

Thank you Laura for being professional and for taking the time and care to ensure that the experience and results were nothing but perfect!!!

What does this treatment involve?
Creating the appearance of fuller lips and even camouflaging scars is simple with permanent lip liner. How long does it take?
Depending on the desired finish you choose for your lip.

How long do the results last?
All treatments include a top-up appointment, which must be taken 4-8 weeks after your first appointment. For lips you may find you require a top-up 6-18 months later, depending on how well your lips hold the pigment.

Lip Enhancement

Scalp micropigmentation from £800

The ideal way to enhance your hairline, disguise thinning hair, or restore the appearance of hair on the scalp is through micropigmentation.

Using specialist techniques and carefully blended pigments, Laura can simulate hair to give you a natural look that mimics real hair growth. You can treat hair loss due to pattern baldness, alopecia, illness or injury. This technique is also effective at disguising scars from hair transplant surgery.

Suitable for men or women, scalp micropigmentation can be blended into your existing hair to provide the illusion of healthy, natural hair.

I had my scalp micropigmentation done by Laura and I am extremely happy with how natural the results look. I am so pleased that I chose this technique instead of having a hair transplant as it has given me instant results and looks so good! can’t believe the difference it has made in my appearance, I have so much more confidence now.

Laser Hair Removal from £40

The benefits:

  • Virtually pain-free laser treatment.
  • Treats all skin types including tanned skin.
  • The most powerful & safest laser hair removal technology available.

What is laser hair removal?
A beam of light is passed through the targeted area, where it’s absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft and follicle. This generates heat, which loosens the hair and also disables the cells involved in hair growth to prevent future hairs from forming. The surrounding skin is left completely undamaged.

Is laser hair removal painful?
We have equipped our clinic with the latest technology in hair removal. Our hair removal laser provides a virtually painless method of hair reduction, leaving you with silky smooth skin.

How many treatments will I need?
In your consultation both hair and skin colour and texture will be fully assessed to determine how many treatments you will need. We usually recommend a minimum of eight laser treatments.

Do contact us to arrange your first patch treatment, which costs £20 and is redeemable against your first laser hair removal treatment with us.

Brow & Lash Tinting**
Our tint is developed specifically for the eyelashes and eyebrows, ensuring it is safe.

What does brow and lash tinting do?
Tinting treatments are designed to enhance and define eyebrows and eyelashes by adding permanent colour to the hair. The base and tips of the hairs are often fairer, even on clients with darker hair, so tinting them darker gives the illusion of extra thickness and length.

What’s involved in a treatment?
Our experts mix the tint to create a tailor-made colour bespoke to every client. It is then carefully brushed directly onto the hairs and left between 3-10 minutes to develop. All of our tints have been developed specifically for the lashes and brows, ensuring 100% safety. The tint is then gently removed, leaving you with longer, darker and fuller looking lashes and brows.

**All clients are required to have a patch test.
This should be done 24 hours before the eyebrow
treatment.

Botulinum Toxin is a natural purified protein that temporarily relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles, creating a rejuvenated appearance. This is a safe and effective procedure for the reduction and prevention of facial lines giving a relaxed and more youthful fresh appearance.

How does it work?
Hyperactivity of facial muscles often leads to the development of deep frown lines, forehead lines and crows feet. By injecting into the muscle responsible for creating the wrinkle it can give the face a more relaxed and smoother appearance and prevent further lines and wrinkles from forming.

How long does it last?
Anti wrinkle injections are only temporary with results lasting approx. 3-4 months. For best results, treatment should be repeated at this time.

Per treatment costings:

1 area: from £200
2 areas from £250
3 areas from £300

Wrinkle Relaxing Injections is effective for
treating:

  • Frown lines
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Crow’s Feet
  • Horizontal neck lines
  • Teeth grinding (bruxism)
  • Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
  • Nefertiti Lift (jawline and neck)

Dermal Fillers

What are dermal fillers?
As we age, our skin will lose volume, elasticity and becomes less hydrated. This process can cause unwanted lines and wrinkles and sagging skin. Dermal fillers can effectively add volume and plump up your skin, decrease lines and wrinkles and increase hydration.

How do they work?
Youthful skin is rich in Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – a molecule naturally present in the dermis that binds water, hydrates the skin and promotes softness and fullness of the skin. But as we age, the HA in our skin gradually becomes less efficient and leads to loss of volume and the tell-tale signs of ageing. Teosyal ® Restylane ® and Emerval ® are dermal fillers all made from biodegradable Hyaluronic Acid gel that are injected just under the skin. All have been extensively tested to give exceptional, natural looking results and are supported by the clinical studies to ensure your safety.

How long does it last?
Dermal filler treatments have little or no downtime and results can be seen instantly and can last for 6 ‐12 months.

What can be treated with dermal fillers?
Botox ® Injections are only temporary with results lasting approx. 3-4 months. For best results, treatment should be repeated at this time.

  • Filling wrinkles, lines and folds.
  • Remodelling cheekbones and softening contours of the face.
  • Increasing and remodeling lip volume.
  • Revitalizing and rehydrating the skin on the face, neck and décolletage.
  • Non-surgical Rhinoplasty.
  • Define the chin and contour of jaw line.

Per treatment costings:
All products £300 per 1ml syringe

Lip Fillers

We can enhance the natural beauty of your lips with our lip filler treatments. Dermal fillers temporarily add volume and enhances the shape of your lip area giving a beautifully natural result.

Lip fillers can

  • Enhance your natural lips Increase volume.
  • Improve definition.
  • Balance uneven lips.
  • Reduce fine “smokers” lines.
  • Improve confidence.

How do they work?
We use fillers which have a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid – a substance found naturally in your body. It attracts and binds water in the skin to provide a gentle, natural looking volume – it’s perfect for the delicate lip area.

What results can I expect?
The results of this treatment are evident immediately but will continue to develop over the following 7 to 14 days. The lips can become a little swollen for 24-48 hours following a lip enhancement treatment, so we suggest you avoid planning social events during that time. This is completely normal and will subside over a couple of days. Our lip fillers are all temporary Hyaluronic Acid fillers which last approx. 6-12 months.

Per treatment costings:

Lip enhancement: from £300

Tear Trough Fillers

What is tear trough filler?
Tired of looking tired? Our Tear Trough treatment is the most efficient non-invasive way to reduce dark circles and hollows under the eyes. The simple procedure involves a dermal filler injection just under the eye area, for a long-lasting refreshed and rejuvenated finish.

How does it work?
We use Teosyal Redensity II, the first dermal filler specifically developed for tear trough. The formula is infused with amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, so following the treatment your skin continues to rejuvenate over time, for long-term results.

How long does it last?
A clinical trial showed lasting results for a period of one year, while 72% of patients did not require any touch ups after the initial injection.

Treatment area
Ideal for dark circles around the eye – known as eye circles – which are caused by hollowness of the tear troughs. The skin of the eye area is very sensitive and fragile, easily revealing the signs of fatigue or age. Eye circles appear first at the corner of the eye and then spread on the contour, which makes the eyes sad and tired.

Teosyal Redensity II will leave your eye area looking bright, fresh and awake.

Redensity eye repair: from £300 per 1ml syringe

Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis Injections

What is hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is common condition of excessive sweating. It can often be an embarrassing condition that affects a surprising number of people.

How it works…
Botulinum toxin injections (Botox®) is the quickest, safest and most effective treatment for heavy perspiration in the under arm area, palms and soles of feet. A series of injections into the problem area will stop excessive sweating for around eight months if not longer.

How long does it last?
Botox ® injections are only temporary with results lasting approx. 3-4 months. For best results, treatment should be repeated at this time.

Skinpen – Micro-needling skin treatments £220 per appointment

Micro-needling

What is micro-needling?
Classed as one of the best treatments to improve the texture and appearance of your skin, micro-needling is an effective form of rejuvenation, tackling scars such as acne or stretch marks, dark spots caused by the sun, as well as skin laxity, wrinkles, and large pores.

How it works…
The Skin pen is passed over the area to be treated, and inserts tiny needles into the skin, leaving micro puncture wounds. This triggers the bodies wound healing response and encourages the body to release skin cells in that area. While the body repairs the skin, it increases the production of collagen and elastin, immediately plumping the area, and causing wrinkles to diminish. As the body repairs the skin you will also see scarring, dark marks and sun damage decrease.

Micro-needling is also effective for hair regeneration. The process works in much the same way; as the wound healing response takes place, it stimulates blood

circulation and increases nutrients reaching the hair follicles, this combined with the stimulation of proteins in the area can result in new hair growth. Results may vary from person to person

How many treatments will I need?
It is recommended on average to receive six sessions with the Skin pen, spaced four weeks apart. Micro-needling is suitable for:

  • Sun damage.
  • Wrinkles.
  • Hyperpigmentation.
  • Rosacea.
  • Enlarged Pores.
  • Scarring.
  • Stretch marks.
  • Acne Scarring.

What results can I expect?
This is a results-driven treatment that will leave skin brighter, tighter and smoother thanks to the exfoliation and gentle peel.

Dermaplanning

Dermaplaning gently buffs the top layer of dead skin cells away helping to reveal a brighter and smoother complexion leaving skin ultra-smooth and perfectly prepped for make-up.
Dead skin cells make your complexion look dull and contribute to clogged pores and spots. Dermaplaning clears the way so skin peels, facials, skin products and serums can get down into the skin where they need to be rather than sitting on the skin’s surface. It also removes peach fuzz / vellus (fine) hair on the face and creates clear channels into the skin as well as a soft, smooth surface for makeup to glide on flawlessly.

What happens during dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is done with a sterile micro-blade held at a 45-degree angle and brushed along the surface of the skin to remove thin layers of excess skin cells and fine hairs. This is then followed by a skin-soothing balm, our with our clinical fire & ice treatment.

Will my facial hair grow back darker?
Not at all. Hair on the face is a type known as villous hair, rather than the dark, thick terminal hair that grows elsewhere. Shaving does not in any way cause vellus hair follicles to transform into terminal hair follicles.

What happens after the treatment?
You will notice an increased glow to the skin, evening of complexion, improved skin tone, reduction of ‘peach fuzz’ vellus hair. Skin may be a little pink immediately after treatment but this normally subsides within an hour or so. Peach fuzz / vellus hairs do not come back thicker and stronger. It will grow back at exactly the same rate, thickness and texture as before.
Repeat treatment is recommended once every 6 weeks.

Treatment price: £60
Duration: 30 minutes

Depending upon the procedure, the treatment time can vary between 90 and 120 minutes. This includes a thorough consultation.

How does the treatment feel?
Laura Kay London uses topical anesthetics to reduce discomfort to a minimum. Some clients have likened the eyebrow treatment to the sensation of constant plucking.

Is the treatment safe?
Laura uses the very best digital permanent make up equipment, which is the latest in industry excellence. Their micropigmentation treatments combined with Laura’s skills ensure safe delivery of pigment into the upper layers of the skin. All equipment is sterile; all consumables disposable, and we are fully insured. Provided aftercare procedure is adhered to there should be no problems.

How long does the pigment remain in the skin?
Pigment can last any length of time between 1 and 5+ years depending on skin type. Many factors such as exposure to UV rays, lifestyle, the rate at which your skin naturally exfoliates and pigment colours selected will all have a bearing on the life of your permanent make up.

When will I need a top-up treatment?
The pigment fades over a 2-3 year period. If you wish to maintain the intensity of colour you can have a yearly top-up treatment. The price structure is £220 per top up per appointment.

How will I look directly after the procedure?
Post procedure the skin can be slightly red and sometimes swollen but this soon reduces. The intensity of pigment used will look ‘exact’ and a little dark; this softens and lightens after a few days.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Terms & Conditions” tab_id=”1460372205865-409238ee-b539″][vc_column_text]These are the Terms & Conditions for booking a treatment with Laura Kay London.
