If you have some experience with semi permanent make up and want to expand your skillset, our Medical Micropigmentation course will teach you how to support clients with specialised needs, including covering scars and burns, and creating realistic areolas/nipples.
Medical Micropigmentation, or Medical Tattooing, is a method of camouflaging scars, creating realistic areolas/nipples, and correcting pigmentation problems. This course teaches the various techniques you will need to master these advanced skills.
The course includes hands on training and covers the following:

- Pigments and colour matching
- Areola/Nipple Design and Procedure
- Procedures for Camouflaging Scars and Burns
- Camouflage Techniques
- Cleft Lip Camouflage and Asymmetry Correction
- Healing and Aftercare
In this 2-day course you will learn how to use advanced micropigmentation techniques to help people affected by medical issues. You will learn how to create the illusion of a fully 3-dimensional nipple, how to use various techniques and pigments to cover scars, and how to correct loss of pigment.
You will learn how to mix, test, and use multiple pigments at once, to create the illusion of healthy skin, using various techniques to create an aesthetically pleasing result, and how to work with fragile and damaged skin.
This course is perfect for people who want to expand into an area that helps people who have suffered injury or illness get back to looking like themselves, and help women who have undergone a mastectomy after cancer treatment to feel more confident about their appearance.
The course is designed for people who have some experience of cosmetic semi-permanent make up. You will be trained at the Laura Kay London Academy, with Laura and her expert team.
PRICING AND COURSE DETAILS
The total cost of this course, including your certification, is £2200, which includes your comprehensive training manual and a selection of products to start off your Medical Micropigmentation kit. A booking fee of £1000 is required at the time of booking to secure your place, and the balance must be paid 2 weeks before the course begins.
Please note, the course fee does not include a machine – you are welcome to use your existing permanent make up machine, or there will be the opportunity to purchase a machine during the course.
